Meet the Founders

Mak2oub is a woman-owned business founded by Zahra Huber and Liliana Ismail. The two friends and professionals noticed how difficult it had become to truly get to know someone through dating apps. Endless messaging, swiping, and surface-level exchanges left little room for presence and depth. They reminisced about a time when meeting someone meant actually speaking face to face – a time when you could read someone’s energy, hear their tone, and feel the conversation unfold naturally.

Drawing from complementary backgrounds in understanding human connection, communication, and relationship dynamics, along with experience in storytelling and designing intentional, experience-driven environments, Zahra and Liliana created Mak2oub to offer a more thoughtful approach to modern Muslim matchmaking.

Mak2oub was built to feel calm, curated, and human. It’s a space where showing up feels natural, and connection can unfold with intention and care.
